Our elected officials are at it again.  In a new act of sheer cowardice Congress has introduced Bill H.R. 347.   If put into law the bill, also known as the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011, will make it a felony to disrupt or protest at any place or event by persons with secret service protection.  So who is entitled to secret service protection? According to Secretservice.gov the most notable persons are:

1.  The President and those who are next in succession to the Office of the President.

2.  Former Presidents

3.  Major Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates within 120 days of a general presidential election

4.  Other individuals as designated per executive Order of the President

5.  National Special Security Events, when designated as such by the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security

It is important to note that the Secret Service has the power to make arrests without warrants for any offense against the United States committed in their presence, or for any felony recognizable under the laws of the United States if they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed such felony.

This sets a scary precedent for future Presidents and elected officals who may be more aggressive in there stance against the Occupy and American freedom movements.

This Bill, if passed, would give the secret service much power over Occupy protestors.  It’s no surprise that this Bill has come to light with the coming Democrat and Republican conventions.  Sadly, Republicans Justin Amash, Ron Paul and Paul Broun were the ONLY elected officials opposed to the Bill.  Critics stress the vague language of the Bill, which is eerily similar to the vagueness of the proposed SOPA and PIPA bills. Kurt Nimmo of Infowars.com summed it up best:

Such a draconian restriction of the First Amendment is another step in an effort to outlaw all protest against the government, especially at events where the controllers discuss and finalize their plans to implement world government and a centralized global banking system.  The global elite have repeatedly demonstrated their animosity toward the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  Taking down the First Amendment – in addition to the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and most importantly the Second – under the bogus and contrived aegis of a manufactured war on terror amply reveals what they have a mind: a gulag panopticon where resistance is not only futile, but illegal, and where the slaves are disarmed and powerless to effectuate change.

This five minute speech got Judge Napolitano fired from Fox after making these remarks, which just shows you how much the media values free speech.  If you speak the truth, you are fired and even laughed at, but if you keep your mouth shut you make millions of dollars.  Something is definitely wrong with this picture. -_-
